About this guide

What can I make?

What can I make with what I have? The Everyday Plate is designed to help you answer that question with more confidence. It brings meal-building back to recognisable ingredients and everyday situations, from a quick breakfast to dinner after a busy day.

The planned guide explores food groups through practical combinations, with ideas for adding vegetables, choosing a useful base and including protein foods you enjoy. Flavour has its own place: herbs, citrus, texture and small finishing touches can make simple food feel worth sitting down for.

You can start with meals you already like and adapt them to your preferences. The approach looks at the overall pattern of your eating, leaving room for convenience, favourite foods and changing plans. It does not require calorie tracking or a perfect plate at every meal.

Use the meal-building notebook to collect combinations that suit your kitchen. This is a practical educational guide for adults, with flexible suggestions rather than personalised dietary advice.

Start with what you have

Choose a familiar base, such as potatoes, bread or pasta. Add a protein food you enjoy, such as beans, eggs or fish. Bring in vegetables for colour, texture and variety. Finish with flavour: lemon, herbs or a little olive oil. This is a starting point, not a rule for every plate. Look at variety across your day and week.

What still has to happen

The manuscript has to be written and reviewed, any timings and food-safety guidance verified against current official advice, final prices and page counts confirmed, and real digital delivery connected.

GALDREN is a collection in development. Preview images are illustrative and the mockups depict books for visualisation only; the guides are intended as digital downloads with no physical delivery. Purchasing opens once the complete PDFs, tested delivery and seller policies exist.
