Galdren · Guide 01

Start with what you have

Choose a familiar base, such as potatoes, bread or pasta. Add a protein food you enjoy, such as beans, eggs or fish. Bring in vegetables for colour, texture and variety. Finish with flavour: lemon, herbs or a little olive oil. This is a starting point, not a rule for every plate. Look at variety across your day and week.

Try this

Write one meal you already enjoy. What could you add or change to bring in more variety?

Galdren · Guide 02

Give ingredients two jobs

Before you write a shopping list, check what you already have. Pick three meals you would realistically make. Look for ingredients that fit more than one of them: carrots for a tray of vegetables and a crunchy lunch; chickpeas for a warm bowl and a salad. Buy quantities that match your household and storage space.

Try this

Choose three meals. Circle the ingredients they share. Check your cupboards before adding anything to your list.

Galdren · Guide 03

Prep for your actual diary

Start with the next meals you expect to eat at home. Choose one useful component to prepare, rather than filling every container you own. Keep a fresh finishing ingredient for texture and a simple flavour option for variety. Label stored food and follow appropriate chilling, storage and reheating guidance for each ingredient.

FAQs

Before you choose a guide.

Are these physical books?

The planned guides are digital PDFs. The book images are design mockups; no physical book is included.

Can I download the complete guides now?

Not yet. This preview presents the proposed collection, contents and sample pages. The full editions are in development.

Do I have to buy all three?

The proposed catalogue includes individual guides and a three-guide collection. Each guide is designed around a different everyday task.

Is this a weight-loss programme?

No. GALDREN focuses on everyday food choices, meal-building and organisation. It does not prescribe a weight-loss plan or promise a particular health outcome.

Do I need specialist ingredients or equipment?

The planned approach uses familiar ingredients and ordinary kitchen equipment. Specific requirements will be listed clearly in the completed guides.

Are the guides suitable for special dietary needs?

These are general educational guides for adults. They are not personalised advice for allergies, medical conditions or specialist nutritional needs. Follow advice relevant to your circumstances.

Are all the meals vegetarian?

The proposed meal-building approach allows different food preferences and includes plant-based options. The completed editions will identify ingredients and substitutions clearly; no blanket allergen-free claim is made.

Are the page counts and prices final?

They are planning targets and proposed prices. Final details will be confirmed with the completed editions.

Start where you need the most help.

One useful next step is enough: a cupboard check, a little more variety on a familiar plate, or one task done ahead.

Everyday food. A little more thought.

GALDREN is a collection in development. Preview images are illustrative. General educational guidance for adults, not personalised dietary or medical advice; the meal-building prompts sit alongside the NHS Eatwell Guide rather than replacing it.
